Day 2.

After a relaxing night we will start our photo tour in my Hawfich Hide, where Syrian Woodpeckers, Nightingales, and warblers can appear from the Finches. Starlings and Doves are regular guest around the hide, but sometimes Green woodpeckers and Buzzards are also there.

After our midday siesta will visit the neighbouring rice fields, where we can see Bluethroats, Sedge Warblers and Savi’s Warblers. In the rice fields we can spot many geese, herons (Purple, Night, Grey), Egrets, and Spoonbills as well.

Day 3.

At dawn we will visit one of the Bee-eater colonies, where we can take picture of the birds basking in the first rays of the morning sun. Next we will have the opportunity to take pictures of the Great White Egret and Little Bittern.

After a short midday siesta we will visit Hungary’s second biggest lake, Lake Tisza, where during a boat trip we can take pictures of the following birds: Night Heron, Great Crested Grebe, Whiskered Tern, Penduline Tit, Black Tern and Grey Heron, Squacco heron and many others.

Day 4.

At dawn we will visit my Tower Hide constructed for Red-footed Falcon watching from where we can take picture of the birds basking in the first rays of the morning sun. From here we can also see some Lesser Grey Shrikes, Roller, Jackdaws, and Kestrels.

After our midday siesta we will visit the Great Bustard Reserve in Dévaványa. On the way we can see Rollers, Great Bustards, and Imperial Eagle. In the exhibition centre we can have an insight into the Hungarian Great Bustard preservation. This place is perfect for the observation of the Great Bustard, the Wryneck, the Montagu’s Harrier, and the Hoopoe.

Day 5.

After a relaxing night we will start our photo tour in my Garden Hide located at the “Kevirigó” Guest House. We will mainly see Finches here, however the Syrian Woodpecker and the Green Woodpecker are also regular guests at the drinking pond. The early frogs and Grass snakes (commonly known as the water snake in Hungary) can also be spotted by the lake. After the hide photography we will explore the surrounding territories. During our walk we will take pictures of the Little Bittern, the Great Reed Warbler, the Cuckoo and the Penduline Tit. With a bit of luck we can observe the first returning Red-backed Shrikes. Above the reed we can often see Marsh Harriers too.

After our midday siesta we will visit one of the most beautiful fishing ponds of the neighbourhood where we can spot Pygmy Cormorants and different kinds of Herons. During the afternoon we will probably see Ferruginous duck, Marsh Harriers, Bearded Tits, and Pond terrapins as well.

Day 6.

This day will be the day of mobile hides by smaller and larger waters in the neighbouring area. The beds of drained ponds provide a perfect location for Grey Herons, Little and Great White Egrets, Black storks and many differente kind of waders to feed from the fresh mud. Around the smaller inland water spots you can observe Black-winged Stilt and Avocets carefully looking after their babies.

During the afternoon we will drive around in the area. This time of the day brings out the young birds which are not so much afraid of humans as their elders thus it will provide us with an excellent opportunity to make closer pictures. A visit to an old barn is also planned for this afternoon where with a bit of luck we can spot the beautiful Barn Owl..

Day 7.

If we have enough time before leaving  for the airport we will drive around to visit the neighbouring fields for Corn Bunting, Yellow wagtail and many other small songbirds .
